Government of India has announced space reforms for “Unlocking the space potential of India” and Department of Space is in the process of enabling private players to carry out end-to-end space activities and thus enhancing private participation in space domain. The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe) would be the national level autonomous nodal agency for promotion, handholding, sharing of ISRO facilities, expertise and technology and also for authorizing and monitoring private sector’s space activities in India.

It is heartening to note that a good number of private entities have come forward responding to the space reform announcement by venturing into space business and it has been a pleasure for us having the opportunity for enabling and handholding their space activities. While IN-SPACe is formally put in place, the interim mechanism created in DOS is putting all efforts to see that their space activities are taken forward in a fast track mode.

DOS look forward for the continued efforts by private players to make great progress in their space activities in 2021 and make India dominant in Space sector.
