Mr. S. Somanath, Chairman, ISRO/ Secretary, DOS, and H.E. Lyonpo Mr. Karma Donnen Wangdi, Minister, Ministry of Information and Communication, Royal Government of Bhutan, had a meeting on November 25, 2022, during the Minister’s visit to ISRO’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota (SDSC-SHAR) to witness the launch of India-Bhutan SAT (INS-2B) in PSLV-C54/EOS-6 mission. Directors of ISRO Centres, the Ambassador of Bhutan to India, and other Bhutan delegation members attended the meeting.

The India – Bhutan space cooperation in remote sensing and South Asia Satellite utilisation were discussed, in addition to the activities related to the realisation of the India-Bhutan SAT and the training offered by ISRO. Bhutan side expressed their interest to continue working with ISRO in developing a Bhutan space program, especially in capacity building in space technology and its applications.
