Mr. Enrico Palermo, Head of Australian Space Agency (ASA) visited Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Headquarters on September 6, 2022 and had a meeting with Shri S. Somanath, Chairman, ISRO/ Secretary, Department of Space (DOS).

Chairman, ISRO/ Secretary, DOS thanked Australian delegation for its larger participation in the ‘7th Bengaluru Space Expo: International Conference and Exhibition’ and active engagements with Indian Industries and Start-ups. Australia’s active support in establishing temporary ground station in Cocos (Keeling) Island for the Gaganyaan missions, potential opportunities to cooperation earth observation, satellite navigation, space situational awareness, weather and climate studies using satellite data were the highlights of the discussion. Head, ASA and his delegation has also visited ISRO’s Human Space Flight Centre (HSFC) and satellite integration & testing facilities of U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC).
