United States Chargé d’Affaires (CDA) Ambassador Elizabeth Jones of US Embassy visited ISRO Headquarters/ DOS Secretariat on February 14, 2023 and had a meeting with Shri S. Somanath, Chairman, ISRO/ Secretary, DOS. US Consul General to Chennai Ms. Judith Ravin, Additional Secretary, DOS Ms. Sandhya Venugopal Sharma have also participated in this meeting.

US participation in Aero India 2023, Recent visit of high level Indian delegation to USA; Visit of Chairman, ISRO/ Secretary, DOS to NASA centres & Caltech and meetings with US space entities; US officials’ participation in the upcoming Space Economy Leaders Meeting (SELM) of G20 at Shillong & Bengaluru; Opportunities for accelerated collaboration among space industries of both nations were the major highlights of the discussion.

ISRO/DOS has agreed to support US Embassy and US Consulate at Chennai in enabling interaction among space industries of both nations for enhanced collaborations.
