H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saud Altamaimi, CEO of Saudi Space Commission (SSC) visited ISRO HQ, Bengaluru on March 09, 2023 and had a meeting with Mr Somanath S, Chairman ISRO/ Secretary Department of Space (DOS). Saudi Arabia's recent initiatives and future plan in space activities and associated collaboration opportunities were discussed during this meeting. Both sides also had discussions on Indian experience in developing end-to-end space capabilities and the recent opening up of the space sector for private investments. In preparation to this meeting, the SSC technical team visited ISRO/ DOS Centers located at Ahmedabad, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Bangalore during the last few days and will be visiting the Centers at Thiruvananthapuram on March 10, 2023.

Chairman ISRO/ Secretary DOS extended a warm invitation to CEO of SSC for the G20 Space Economy Leaders Meeting scheduled in July 2023 at Bengaluru. CEO of SSC also invited Chairman ISRO/ Secretary DOS to participate in the Space Economy Forum planned during the end of this year in Saudi Arabia.
