Department of Space has been conferred the Rajbhasha Kirti Puruskar (First) for the year 2018-19 for the outstanding performance in the field of Official Language. This award was presented by Shri Amit Shah Honorable Home Minister of India on September 14, 2019 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, during the Hindi Day function. The award was received by Smt. Sandhya Venugopal Sharma, Joint Secretary, DOS on behalf of the Department. It is a matter of immense pleasurre and pride that the Department is receiving this prestigious award continuously since last four years.
