The Indian Navy represented by Directorate of Naval Oceanology and Meteorology (DNOM), Govt of India and National Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NARL), Dept of Space, Govt of India have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for utilising the latest developments in the field of atmospheric sciences.
The MoU has been signed on 23 December 2024 at 1500 IST at NARL, Gadanki by Commodore Abhinav Barve, DNOM and Dr. Amit Kumar Patra, Director NARL. Through this MoU, DNOM aims to utilise the ‘State-of-the-art’ infrastructure, knowledge and expertise available at NARL towards developing advanced tools of atmospheric data analysis for the use of Indian Navy and upgrading the skills of its personnel.
