Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon (BAH) is a flagship initiative by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) introduced in 2024 as a key outreach program to inspire young innovators. It is held annually in the lead-up to National Space Day on August 23, this hackathon aims to foster creativity and technological advancement among students.

The second edition of the Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon was launched by Dr V Narayanan, Secretary, DOS/ Chairman, ISRO on June 18, 2025 with 14 problem statements in the area of Geospatial Domain, Space Science, Image Processing and AI/ML. A team of 3 to 4 students pursuing Under Graduate/ Post Graduate/ Ph.D. across the country can participate and address these challenges with innovative solutions. In the first level of screening, 140 teams will be shortlisted based on their ideation and approach to problem solving. Following a second level of screening, an expert committee will select 30 teams to participate in the 30 hrs Grand Finale on 07th & 08th August, 2025 at NRSC, JD Metla Campus, Hyderabad.

Secretary, DOS / Chairman, ISRO, highlighted the transformative potential of the hackathon, noting that solutions developed by participants could inspire new technologies and influence the development of numerous space application products. He emphasized that students should approach the challenges with an open mind, highlighting that their contributions could serve as a stepping stone to innovations in space technology. Scientific Secretary, ISRO, Directors of various ISRO Centres / Units, mentors & senior ISRO scientists witnessed the event.
