ISRO participated in Digital India:Catalysing New India Techade event organised by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) during July 4-10, 2022 at Gandhinagar.
India has pioneered innovative digital projects, implemented transformational projects at populations scale, and the benefits of various services and initiatives have percolated to the common man ensuring digital inclusion. Digital technologies have enabled the Government to reach the remote parts of the country at the click of a button.
During the event, ISRO showcased its important contributions towards providing space based digital technologies and services to national and international audience.
In 'Digital Mela' Exhibition held during July 4-10 at Gandhinagar, scientists from National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC)/ISRO, Hyderabad demonstrated Digital achievement including Bhuvan portal and Bhoonidhi portal. In the same event, scientists from Space Applications Centre (SAC)/ISRO, Ahmedabad demonstrated MOSDAC and VEDAS portals. SAC also showcased NavIC hardware and applications of Messaging Receiver, RTK receiver, NavIC receiver for Aadhar enrolment, Receiver for Pisharoty Radio Sonde, NavIC timing receiver, NavIC vehicle tracking receiver, NavIC clock, NavIC ASIC receiver. SATCOM applications of 2-Way MSS terminal-Nabhamitra, Sagarmitra, Realtime Aircraft Tracking, Real Time Train Information System were also showcased. Information was disseminated through posters also. For last two days of the event, when the exhibition was open to general public, many students visited the exhibition.
In Digital India Knowledge Exchange: Showcasing India Stack and India's Digital Products & Services , conducted during July 7-9, 2022, in virtual mode, a session was dedicated to ‘Space Technology Stack’. Scientists from ISRO presented various applications. The topics covered Satellite Navigation, Satellite Communications, VEDAS – Visualisation of Earth observations Data and Archival System, Ocean and weather services using MOSDAC data, Bhoonidhi and Bhuvan- Solutions.
