National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), ISRO, Hyderabad, conducted the User Interaction Meet 2025 (UIM 2025) in association with New Space India Limited (NSIL) on 26th March 2025 at NRSC. The UIM 2025 was inaugurated by Dr. V Narayanan, Chairman, ISRO/ Secretary, Department of Space, in the august presence of dignitaries, Dr. Subba Rao Pavuluri, CMD, Ananth Technologies Ltd., Dr Prakash Chauhan, Director, NRSC, Dr. P. V. Radha Devi, Director, Advanced Data Research Institute (ADRIN), Dr. Balakrishnan Nair T. M., Director (I/c), Earth System Science Organization-Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (ESSO-INCOIS) and other senior officials from ISRO Centers and User Ministries. Around 460 delegates from government, industry, academia and civil society attended the user meet of which 220 delegates represented institutions outside ISRO. Core theme of the meet was ‘Implementation of Indian Space Policy - Status & Way Forward’. Chairman, ISRO emphasized the need to harness the potential of space technology in all spheres of life for accelerating sustainable development.
During the meet, detailed technical sessions and exhibition were conducted on the initiatives and advances in EO (Earth Observation) Data Processing and Applications. The expert panel provided the necessary guidance for the Future Indian EO Infrastructure Needs and Policy from downstream to upstream segments, emphasizing on the specialized instrumentation for various purposes, including Earth observation and scientific research.
