The third edition of Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon (BAH), a national level hackathon, was launched on 10 June 2026, and the Grand Finale was held from 6^th - 7^th August 2026. This programme is a flagship initiative of ISRO, which aims to inspire and engage young minds across the country and foster creativity, innovation, and problem-solving in the field of space technology.

BAH 2026 featured 15 carefully curated problem statements covering critical domains such as Geospatial Technology, Space Science, Image Processing, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML). More than 1,00,000 students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programmes registered for the hackathon. A total of 15,104 teams, each comprising 3–4 members, submitted innovative solutions to the given problem statements. After evaluation of the ideas submitted, the top 34 teams were selected to compete in the Grand Finale, representing some of the brightest young talent from across the country.

The Grand Finale was held at the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), Hyderabad, and comprised an intensive 30-hour event. During the finale, the participating teams developed their solutions and presented to a Jury Panel chaired by Dr. Prakash Chouhan, Director, NRSC. The top three teams were selected based on the creativity, technical excellence, and feasibility of their solutions.
