Major Centres of DOS facilitate conducting academic projects in graduate / postgraduate degree in Engineering

At National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC):
Outreach Facility Jeedimetla, Department of Space (DOS) provides an opportunity to the students for carrying out projects as part of fulfillment of PG and UG courses. These allotments are strictly on requirement, depending on the projects/ programmes at NRSC.
Eligibility and Duration
Who is eligible?
Final year students of M.Tech/M.E/B.Tech/B.E/M.Sc./ MCA courses are eligible for carrying out full time project. Students from Arts & Commerce stream are not eligible. All applications/requisitions will be screened and reviewed by an internal committee. The screening is done based on marks, and students with excellent academic record, right from schooling till the present course (first class throughout with minimum 70%) will be considered
Project Duration :
The duration of the project work will be 3-12 months. Preference is given to the students doing project for a longer duration.

At Space Applications Centre
SAC through its SAC-Academic Associate Programme (SAC-AAP), provides opportunity to students for internship at SAC in various domains including but not limited to electronics, mechanical, civil, electrical, remote sensing and GIS, mathematical modelling, image processing, RF systems, Digital systems, electro-optics, microwave and radars etc.
SAC-Academic Associate Programme (SAC-AAP):
The in-plant training programme (ITP) is open for students from academic institutes located in different parts of the country. It has been renamed as “SAC-Academic Associate Programme (SAC-AAP)” in 2014. SAC-AAP provides an opportunity for students to work with scientists/engineers on SAC projects and it has the following three schemes

At U R Rao Satellite Centre, Bengaluru
URSC being a leading Organization of ISRO provides an opportunity for student's community to carry out their project work as part of their academic curriculum. In order to make use of good talents from the academic institutes, professional students of engineering category have been given permission to perform project work in the area of design and development which are useful to the Organisation. Opportunity is provided for both Undergraduate (BE/B.Tech) & Post graduate (ME/M.Tech/M.Sc/MCA) students to carry out their project work. At Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun
IIRS will facilitate students pursuing B.Tech./ B.E./ B.Sc.(Engg.)/ M.Sc./ M.Sc. (Tech.)/ M.E./ M.Tech/ MCA for carrying out research project, which could be submitted as a dissertation to the concerned university/ institute/ college for the award of the degree. The minimum duration of research project at IIRS campus is Three months and the maximum duration is One year.

At PRL, Ahmedabad
Final Semester Project Training – 2022 (FSPT2021) Applications for B.E. / B.Tech. / M.Sc. / MCA / M.E. / M.Tech. project training 2022 are invited) In view of the extraordinary conditions prevailing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students selected to work on projects will be permitted to carry out their project ONLY via remote/online mode, keeping in constant touch with the assigned guide. Please note that a physical visit to PRL will not be possible, and no visitor pass will be allowed. The said training mode needs to be carried out without compromising the quality of training imparted by students. FSTP is for students in their final semester and should be a full-time project at B.E. / B.Tech./ M.Sc./MCA level for a period of 04 to 05 months. It is offered to engineering/science students (BE/BTech) studying in India for their semester project work for a minimum of 4-6 months.

Students pursuing M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc/B.Tech or equivalent course preferably in Atmospheric Science / Physics / Electronics / Computers from the Government/AICTE/University recognized institutes.
