Indian Deep Space Network (IDSN), a constituent of ISTRAC/ISRO engaged general public in its programme through two events in August 2022.

Space Exhibition on August 11-12, 2022

To promote Space science and spread awareness on space applications, an exhibition was organized in IDSN campus. Different types of satellite models, launch vehicles, and display boards were the key attractions for the visitors. Crew module and Service module of Human Space Flight programs remained special attractions. Tarang (new D-18), D-32 and D-18 meter antenna facilities were kept open for visitors' on both the days. Staff of ISTRAC engaged the visitors and answered their questions.

Historical Journey of Indian Space Programs

A special lecture was delivered on this topic by Dr. A S Kiran Kumar, former ISRO Chairman on August 12, 2022. Students from five nearby schools were invited for the lecture. The lecture captured the attention of the students and motivated them to actively participate in the science programme of India.
