AGILE

AGILE is an X-ray and Gamma ray astronomical satellite of the Italian Space Agency (ASI). The design, development and fabrication of the satellite was led by Carlogavazzi Space, Milan, Italy, in association with several industries and research institutions. The launch service was arranged by Cosmos International, Germany through Antrix Corporation. AGILE is equipped with scientific instruments capable of imaging distant celestial objects in X-ray and Gamma ray regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. At lift-off, AGILE weighs 352 kg.
